Specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine · Teaching in ethics in medicine
About me
My interest in medicine was sparked at a very early age. Even as a young person, I knew that I wanted to pursue this path consistently in order to support and accompany people medically.
A decisive turning point came with a volunteer service abroad, which I completed directly after finishing school. The intensive work on site not only showed me the essential importance of reliable medical care, but also awakened my deep enthusiasm for working with children. Since that formative year, my decision to dedicate myself entirely to pediatrics has been firm.
After successfully completing my medical studies, I went through several years of thorough specialist training in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Today, I am delighted to provide the best possible care for my patients as a permanent part of this practice.
My commitment
Medicine today offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. In pediatrics, however, mutual trust is just as important to me. I want to create an environment in which parents feel well advised and children feel safe. And when a young patient leaves the practice with a smile, that is still the best proof of a successful treatment for me.
I look forward to accompanying you and your family medically.

Teaching
Alongside my practical work as a pediatrician, the academic training of the next generation of medical professionals is close to my heart. As a Privatdozent (PD) at a distance-learning university, I dedicate myself to the field of ethics in medicine.
In a time of rapid medical and technological progress, specialist knowledge is only one side of the coin. Just as decisive is the ability to make complex moral and human decisions in everyday practice in a reflective way. In my courses, I teach practice-oriented ethical guidelines that go beyond the textbook.
My teaching approach
Online study requires discipline and flexibility. My goal is therefore to make theoretical foundations as vivid and as close to everyday clinical practice as possible. Because ethics can be discussed excellently in the lecture hall (or in front of a screen), but in the end it has to prove itself at the patient's bedside.
